Boat trips in Mallorca by departure port

The coast changes character from port to port, so the best way to choose a boat trip is by where you are staying. From Palma you can join a catamaran across the bay. From Colònia de Sant Jordi boats head for Es Trenc. From Port de Sóller a boat takes you to the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis at Sa Calobra. On the east coast, boats leave from Cala Ratjada, Cala Bona and Cala Millor.

This page does not list tour operators. Routes are plans, not promises: a captain may change the route for weather or sea conditions, and a planned bay is not a guaranteed stop. For land-based day trips, see Mallorca excursions.

The main boat trips in detail

What the operators publish, and what that means for your day.

Bay of Palma catamaran

The boat leaves from the sea station opposite the Auditorium. The five-hour trip runs from 10:00 to 15:00 or from 15:30 to 20:30. Planned stops are Cova Verda and Cala Vella. A meal and the drinks described by the operator are included, and snorkelling gear needs a €10 deposit. Pick the afternoon slot if you prefer the evening light.

South coast and Es Trenc

From the Moll d'Es Coto at Colònia de Sant Jordi, similar five-hour trips go to Es Trenc and to Es Cargol or Cala Màrmols. Inside the Es Trenc nature park, anchoring on seagrass (Posidonia) is banned and the islets may not be visited, so a responsible operator will stay clear.

Es Trenc →

Port de Sóller to Sa Calobra

The sailing takes about an hour. In 2026 the adult return costs €35 and the single €23. Young people from 12 to 22 pay €27 return and €16 single, children from 6 to 11 pay €18 and €13, and under 6 is free. Adult residents pay €27 and €16. The operator advertises 10% off the price list when you book online.

Sa Calobra →

Sailing times from Port de Sóller

Port de Sóller boat trips run from 1 April to 31 October 2026, with boats leaving the port at 9:50, 11:20, 13:00 and 15:00, the return at 16:40 and a midday return at about 13:40. The sailing depends on the weather and the operator asks you to confirm the day before. From 1 to 21 November 2026 sailings run only on certain days, so check before you travel.

East coast from Cala Ratjada

Boats serve Cala Ratjada, Cala Bona and Cala Millor, with coastal and swimming trips. Example departures are 10:30, 12:00 and 15:00, depending on the product. You cannot assume a daily sailing, so choose a date first and check what runs.

Cala Ratjada →

The beach at Formentor by boat

In summer Alcúdia boat trips from Port d'Alcúdia, and boats from Port de Pollença, serve the beach at Formentor. The road to the lighthouse is regulated during the season, so a boat is one way to reach the beach without a car.

Read what is included

Look for meals, drinks, snorkelling gear and children's prices in the description. Private charters are priced per boat, not per guest, so compare like with like.

Choose the right port

A trip from the nearest port saves the most time. For the area around each port, see where to stay in Mallorca.

Choosing a Mallorca boat trip

A Mallorca boat trip comes down to three choices: the port, the length and what is included. Boat rides in Mallorca range from a one-hour crossing to Sa Calobra to a five-hour catamaran day, and a trip from the nearest port saves the most time. Pick a date first, because not every sailing runs daily.

Boat tour in Mallorca: what is included

On the Bay of Palma boat tour the operator includes a meal and the drinks it describes, plus swim and snorkel stops, and snorkelling gear needs a €10 deposit. Use the same list when you compare boat tours in Mallorca: meals, drinks, gear and children's prices.

Boat trip from Palma

A boat trip from Palma de Mallorca leaves from the sea station opposite the Auditorium and takes five hours, either 10:00 to 15:00 or 15:30 to 20:30. The afternoon slot ends in the evening, so it suits you if you prefer a later start.

Catamaran trip, charter or private boat trip

A catamaran trip in Mallorca on a set departure is sold per guest. A catamaran charter or a private boat trip in Mallorca is priced per boat, not per guest, so compare like with like before you book.
