The Sóller train at a glance
The Sóller train runs between Palma and the town of Sóller in the Serra de Tramuntana. In German it is known as the Roter Blitz. The ride takes about 60 minutes in the timetable the operator displays, and the carriages are old wooden ones, which is much of the charm.
Sóller is not on the coast. To reach the sea you change to a separate tram that runs down to Port de Sóller, a small harbour under the mountains. Many visitors combine both in one day, with lunch by the water before the ride back.

Sóller train tickets and fares in 2026
Adult fares as published by the railway operator in October 2026. Child and resident fares are not shown here, so ask at the ticket office or check the operator before you go.

| Palma to Bunyola, or Bunyola to Sóller | €11 | €19 |
| Tram, Sóller to Port de Sóller | €10 | – |
| Combined train and tram, Palma to Port de Sóller and back | – | €40 |
The tram ticket is sold on board and costs €10 per direction. A separate train return (€30) plus two tram rides (€20) would cost €50, so the €40 combined ticket saves €10 if you plan to see the harbour.

Port de Sóller and the tram
Sóller and Port de Sóller are two separate places. The town sits in the valley, the harbour lies by the sea, and an orange tram links them. It is the easiest way to get from the train to the water.
Tram times in October 2026: from Sóller the first runs at 08:00, then 09:00 and 10:00, after which the service gets denser. The last tram shown leaves Sóller at 20:35. From the harbour the first runs at 08:30, then 09:30 and 10:25, and the last at 21:05. Intervals are not identical all day, so do not count on a fixed half-hour rhythm.
At the harbour you can walk along the front or take a boat. The boat to Sa Calobra leaves from here and takes about one hour. Read our Sa Calobra guide for fares and the November schedule, or browse more boat trips on Mallorca.
