Mallorca catamaran tours: what a day on the Bay of Palma looks like
Most Mallorca catamaran tours leave from the marinas along the Bay of Palma and spend the day on flat, sheltered water.
The six cruises below differ in three ways: how long you are out, what you eat, and how many people share the deck. The cheapest is the 5 hour cruise with a buffet lunch at €59 per person. The 4 hour tapas cruises start at €99 and go up to about €115. Prices as of November 2026.

The 5 hour catamaran cruise with lunch
This is the big-boat option: a 5 hour cruise from the Paseo Marítimo in Palma with a buffet lunch and a swim stop. The operator plans stops at Cova Verda and Cala Vella, and the captain can change the route.
Wine and sangria come with the meal, and water, soft drinks, juice and coffee are served during the trip. Snorkelling gear needs a €10 deposit, and life jackets are on board for children and adults. The sails go up only when conditions suit, otherwise the boat runs on its engine.
At €59, five hours with a meal works out at about €12 per hour, the lowest cost per hour of the six.
4 hour catamaran cruises with tapas
The 4 hour cruises are smaller. One leaves from a marina in Palma with room for up to 12 guests and a welcome drink, with tapas, water, snorkelling gear and paddleboards on board. It costs €99, so about €25 per hour. If conditions are unsafe, the operator offers a rebooking or a full refund.
The other starts at a marina on Palma's Paseo Marítimo. It costs about €114. Tapas, paddleboards, masks and floats are provided, and you bring a towel, sunscreen and swimwear. Drinks cost extra and your own drinks, except water, are not allowed. The cruise does not run in rain or strong wind, but cloud alone does not stop it. Cancel up to 24 hours ahead for free.
Sailing boats: when you want a smaller group
Three more departures use sailing yachts rather than catamarans. The midday or sunset sail in Palma takes at most 10 guests and costs €85, with light snacks, a vegan option and an open bar of cava, wine, beer and soft drinks. The Can Pastilla trip leaves from the yacht club there, lasts 4 hours and costs €99, with snacks, two drinks, snorkelling gear and a paddleboard.
The half-day trip with a skipper and host costs about €115 and takes shared or private groups. The shared version is for ages 13 and up. You need no sailing licence.
Which catamaran tour suits you
Families with young children usually do best on the 5 hour catamaran: more space, a proper lunch and lower cost per hour. Couples and small groups who want a quieter deck choose a 4 hour trip with 10 to 12 guests. If sunset matters, the €85 sailing yacht has a sunset departure.
Anchoring on seagrass (Posidonia) is banned, so boats do not drop anchor on the seagrass meadows.
